Taylor Swift's recent music video "Look What You Made Me Do" is currently one of the most popular songs, being streamed over 8 million times on Spotify. However, there has been multiple controversies surrounding it, such as bath tub scene that caused people to compare it to the robbery of Kim Kardashian from October 3, 2016, as well as hidden secrets (referred to as Easter eggs) throughout the video. According to independent.co.uk, wmagazine.com, and ew.com, a video director of Taylor Swift's most recent music video "Look What You Made Me Do" is accused of plagiarizing a scene from one of Beyoncé's songs. However, the video director accuses Beyoncé of copying Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video. The video director in question is Joseph Kahn, who is thought to have copied a scene from Beyoncé's song "Formation." In response to the accusations, Kahn had tweeted that he has worked with Beyoncé, and that the music video was not "in her art space. When interviewed by the Los Angeles Times, Kahn states that he believes that Beyoncé copied "Bad Blood." The problem is, neither sides present hard evidence to support their claim. Simply accusing someone of plagiarism is a serious charge, and when the lack of evidence is present, then someone can be sued for defamation of character according to legalbeagle.com. Beyoncé has not responded to the accusations.

Super Smash Bros. is an extremely popular, yet competitive game with a large fanbase and community, and there have been many clones and spin-offs of it. However, most of them fall short due to poor gameplay, poor graphics, uninteresting concepts and/or stories, or the like. Rivals of Aether does not fall into this category. Rivals of Aether (abbreviated as "RoA" or simply known as "Rivals") is a competitive 2D fighting game that is currently gathering a larger community despite being a work in progress game. Many Smash Bros. fans will feel right at home playing this game as they share similar mechanics, such as movesets, character design, and percentage instead of a health bar. Rivals of Aether utilizes something that traditional fighting games do not possess: the percentage bar and blastzones. Most fighting game nowadays use the standard health bar, which means that if a character's health bar is completely drained, then their opponent wins. Instead of using this simple mechanic, it uses the percentage bar, which increases as a character receives damage. Depending on the amount of damage, you can launch your opponent a great distance or not at all. This can help when sending your opponent past the "blast zone" which is where the characters will die once they are sent past it. Another feature unique to Rivals of Aether are the characters. While the moveset of each character somewhat resemble that of Super Smash Bros., the design and story behind each character is what separates them from each other, as well as other games. Each character has a specific element which influences their appearance. For example, a DLC (downloadable content) character named Ranno is a ninja frog that possesses the poison element, which causes his opponents to gradually receive damage over time when hit with a poison kunai. Another character named Absa is a goat that harnesses the element of lightning, which gives her the ability to manipulate clouds imbued with lightning to chock her opponents. In Rival of Aether's story mode, you are able to choose which character to plays as, which informs you of their background and circumstances as they battle each other for revenge, defense, or the like. At the end of story mode, each character bands together to battle a defeat a common enemy. I believe that Rivals of Aether possesses a large amount of potential, especially since it is still being developed. Many professional tournaments such as Smash Summit, Shine, and Genesis host this game. As a result, many professional players of the game have appeared. Another reason why Rivals of Aether has potential is because of its DLC. While many people may not enjoy the competitive side of Rivals, they can find enjoyment in the characters that are occasionally added to the game, which is true for all video games. For example, a character named Ori was recently added to the game. Ori is the main character of Ori and the Blind Forest, which is a 2D adventure game loved by many. Many people have purchased Rivals of Aether because of the emotional connection they have to Ori and the Blind Forest, and were ecstatic when they learned that he was a playable character. If a game features a character from another game that many people love, then the game's popularity will increase considerably. As Rivals of Aether continues to develop, I wish to see improvements that will make it one of the best fighting games of all time. Recap:
Rating: 8.7/10 By Brady Bryan I chose troubleshooting for my first blog topic because knowing how to troubleshoot is imperative when it comes to technology. Troubleshooting is examining a certain problem and testing out different solutions until the problem is resolved. I'm sure that everyone has spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting a certain product they own at one time because it wasn't performing as it should. When troubleshooting, the first option we tend to try is restarting the device. When that doesn't work, we try out a plethora of other options, such as searching the problem on Google. In order to narrow down the results to find the solution faster and easier, using the advanced search engine or simply putting quotation marks and minus signs in the search bar is the key. Quotation marks around a phrase/sentence lets the search engine know that you are looking for results with the same words in the same order. Minus signs around words result in seeing pages that do not contain those words. In case you can't remember these shortcuts, simply clicking on Google's "Advanced Search" setting will let you fill the words in the blanks where necessary, as well as remind you of the shortcuts. In certain situations, you may need the teacher's assistance to combat the situation. However, the teacher might be helping someone or is busy elsewhere. The fastest way to deal with the situation is to ask a classmate for help. When a program (such as Photoshop) or app that you were using suddenly crashes or a certain feature begins to glitch and your progress is corrupted, then an alternative would be to click on the "help" file (usually located in the corners of the screen) and navigate through the directories. If the app becomes unresponsive, then go to the app's website, click on the "help" file and navigate from there. There are much more ways to troubleshoot something, so don't be afraid to go all-out. In fact, I recently learned that placing two periods between two numbers lets the search engine know that you want results containing numbers within those two. So before you contact the company that created your product, make sure that you have exhausted all of your options.
